Current Mood:

Dizzy from the shoulder pains. Need more exercise.

Excited about the coming ball! More excited about the dress. I wish all self- proclaimed fashionistas to just leave me alone. If I didn't ask you what you think, then please mind your own business:) So long as I like it! Will try to put a pic of the dress soon.

Back to another related topic. In my opinion, most of the people I know (including some members of my family) need to be more objective in the grander scheme of things. If your advise is not sought for, then expressing you opinion on a subjective issue is just not necessary. Eg. " You should not do this". If it is not so straightforward, if doing this is not necessary a bad thing, if there are some who agree with me, then what gives anyone a right to impose your ideas on others? Luckily for me , people at work, all of whom are lawyers, run business in this manner. What is annoying is stating a view in a manner as if it is not a view, as if it is a universally unchallenged fact, as if it is an order that I must accept, not challenge and act in accordance. I always admire opinionated people, but over opinionated and domineering is a pain. At least respect the choices and views of others and recognise your views as only YOURs.

Another wedding coming month. I will try to post pictures.

Phd progress OK but supervisor might be leaving!

I know...I am becoming random these days........Must be the the dizziness.

This is the longest time I have not been home. It's my first July and August after 7 years. This PhD better be worth every blood, sweat and tears. (It probably wouldn't!)

I miss Malaysia...I am craving for some fresh authentic food that always picks me up. I miss having a good hairdresser who knows everything I want like Alan in Hotel Nikko, waking up for breakfast with the family, leaving the house at 12 am for a piece of tosei, shopping with Pik Yen followed by our usual food feast and massage, and hanging out with friends from primary school, high school and college (getting a bit lazy to mention names, don't be offended). There is no cure except for a trip back!

It's most likely to happen this end of the year conditional upon me completing half of the third chapter! ! My beloved friends, please plan something for my return....
