Europe Trip
I got back on Saturday and is still quite tired. My mum is here so this will be a rather short entry.
For those who plan to go to Milan, DON’T! I am sorry to say this but it is not exactly the best tourist place in the world. Firstly, there isn’t much to see there. Secondly, the people are the rudest I have ever seen. If you want to buy expensive things, go to France where the service is better, where there is a wider variety of expensive boutiques and the food is absolutely refined. The Duomo was under restoration so we were not able to take good pictures. We went to this particular church to see The Last Supper but tickets were fully booked until the end of May (yes, I did try a month before leaving). Anyway, we didn’t buy a lot -only two bags. My mum bought a Christian Dior bag and I bought a LV bag (see pics).
Rome was so interesting. I loved visiting the Colloseum. It was like a step back in time. I just so love anything that looks age-old, that has the vintage feel and makes you feel so special. This is exactly how I felt visiting this ancient site. We also visited the Vatican city which is massive and took us nearly a whole day. Nothing can beat the St Peters church when it comes to grandeur and opulence. I don’t have any pics as the pics I took inside didn’t turn out well. (don’t know how to use my camera well ler). Rome is pretty good for shopping. I bought a leather jacket and some other stuffs!
Just when we thought the trip was going well, my mum’s purse got stolen from her handbag. Not careful? Not really. We are talking about professional pickpockets. They distracted my mum by telling her that she needed to put her luggage in the luggage compartment. They helped her with her luggage and this is when they took the opportunity to steal it from her. It is definitely not easy opening her handbag and looking for the purse and getting it out. You have to be extra careful if you go to Rome next time. Luckily I had my mobile with me and was able to cancel all three of her credit cards. She lost some American Dollars, RM, her driving license and her ID card. Thank Goodness her passport was still with her.
Will update again on Wednesday.
